2015 DuPage Environmental Summit

  • Dates: 19 Feb, 2015
  • Location: Naperville, IL
  • Address: Northern IL University, Naperville Campus

Our local rivers and streams have taken a beating over the past 100 years. Stormwater runoff, flooding, erosion, pollution and habitat degradation have taken its toll since we have urbanized our DuPage landscape. But, great strides have been taken to improve these conditions and we are finally headed in the right direction.

Please join us at the 2015 DuPage Environmental Summit and learn about how our streams are faring and what you can do at the local community level to help. Presentations will be made by local experts on the current status, condition and issues facing our local rivers and streams, large-scale programs and restoration projects being implemented, and what educational and citizen engagement opportunities local communities can implement to help restore and clean up our local waterways. This event is free but online registration is requested.

Adam Cullinane from the Cardno Native Plant Nursery will be in attendance at the Cardno booth in the exhibit area.  Find out how Native Plants can help increase the quality of our rivers and streams.
